Take Your STEM Skills to the Next Level with this Workshop for Visually Impaired Students

St. Xavier’s College, XRCVC is happy to announce an online workshop in “STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Skills”—State Bank of India Foundation and Centre of Excellence (SBIFCoE) supports this workshop.

Today’s tech-savvy environment opens many opportunities in STEM for students with blindness. STEM skill workshop involve accessible methods of plotting graphs and performing calculations for any basic to a scientific level.

This Online Workshop will help you learn accessible methods for plotting graphs and optimising scientific calculations.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Persons with print disabilities such as blindness and low vision,
  • the student should have had sufficient experience working with screen readers—ages approximately 11 and above, and
  • the student should have basic computer skills, including—touch typing, file & folder Management, working with MS Word, and email skills such as reading emails, replying, downloading, and uploading attachments.

Day and Date: Saturday, 25th March 2023,

Time: 03:00 PM to 05:30 PM Indian standard time
Venue: Online Session (Zoom conferencing platform),
Language: English and Hindi

The registration link will close at 06.00 PM on Thursday, 23rd March 2023.
